Separated? Divorced?

The Wellspring Experience is a live in weekend for those who want to deal with unresolved feelings of loss so they can move on.

Issues dealing with loss due to a death and other broken relationships are also touched upon. Talks are given by experienced persons on the grief process, anger, aloneness, dealing with baggage, entanglement, forgiveness, wholeness and spiritual growth. There is time for personal reflection and sharing in small groups.

The next weekend will be held March 31- April 2, 2017 at The Grand Palms Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort, Pembroke Pines, Fl 33027. Let us reserve a place for you! The annual Lenten "40 Days for Life Campaign," a Pro-Life campaign with a vision to access God's power through prayer, fasting and peaceful vigil to end abortion, is now going on worldwide. This is the fifth year Church of the Little Flower will be participating.

How can you help save lives?
Join us and sign up to pray for ONE hour on Saturday, April 1st, any time between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. in front of the abortion facility located at Eve’s Medical Center across from the Dadeland North Metrorail station. Your prayers are powerful and God is listening!

March 2017Lenten Customs

Remember our Catholic penitential customs:

Fridays during Lent are days of abstinence from meat products. This observance includes Good Friday.
Good Friday simultaneously is a day of fasting (i.e., reducing and simplifying our food intake) for those who are between the ages of 21 and 59.
These minor sacrifices help us to realize we are a people whose comforts in this world are temporary, and our minds are thereby lifted to ponder the spiritual meaning of the life we live. Penitential gestures, including our own personal sacrifices during this season, help us purify the senses, place us in solidarity with those who are hungry and suffering, and inspire in us a greater degree of charity and generosity. May Lent be a blessing for us all.

March 2017 The Purpose & Mission Ministry

The Ministry serves as a spiritual compass by helping, supporting, and encouraging those looking to redesign their purpose in their careers or in life, and who are seeking professional and spiritual guidance while transitioning into a path toward personal happiness which keeps God in mind.

The Ministry encourages parishioners looking into a career change and provides them with the tools to be ethical, responsible, and effective participants within any working environment they choose. Additionally, the Ministry searches into a wide pool of working possibilities among our parishioners for a new occupation, position or simply a new working environment.

Please contact the new ministry leader, Saide Rangel, at for more information.

March 2017 The Legion of Mary

March 2017From the Associate Director of Music

Hello! My name is Luis J. Cuza, and I am the Associate Director of Music here at Church of the Little Flower. My responsibilities include providing and planning the music for all the Spanish Masses, the 5:30 pm English Mass on Sundays, and many other liturgies. I also had the privilege of starting our Concert Series which was inaugurated in October 2016 along with our new professional choir, Celestial. Having our own professional choir allows us to perform some of the most difficult and beautiful music composed for the church, and what better place to perform this sacred music than our beautiful church? With Comber Hall just a few steps away, we are blessed to have yet another concert venue that allows for exciting collaborations, including the Florida International University School of Music, as well as a partnership with the world renowned piano builder, Steinway & Sons.

With the goal of acquiring a brand-new Concert Model B Steinway piano, we’re working together with Steinway to provide new concert experiences. Plans are already under way to present world class artists including the internationally known pianist, Raul Di Blasio. Not only will you have the opportunity to see him in concert, but with the VIP Experience, you will also have the opportunity to meet him. You will even be able to sponsor one of the 88 keys of our new piano! So much is happening in our music department! I can’t wait to see you at these many new experiences that your iconic parish has to offer! Stay tuned and many blessings to all!

March 2017 Archbishop’s Charity and Development Drive

Our church is a place to pray, to give thanks, to mourn and to celebrate. A place for us all to unite — in need and abundance — to have mercy, lift each other up and ease pain and suffering. A place people turn to in their time of need. We are all instruments of God’s mercy and peace. One church, one family uniting to help those in need.

Thank you to all who have already generously responded to this year’s ABCD. Your support strengthens the ministries that serve our Archdiocese and allow the Church to form new disciples. As Scriptures remind us, Give and it shall be given to you. Your neighbor needs you. You are the answer to someone’s prayers, and together, we are changing lives.

If you have yet to respond to this year’s ABCD, please join us by making a gift now. You can obtain a pledge envelope from the parish office or you can make a gift online at www.isupportabcd.org. Thank you for all that you do and the spirit in which you do it.
